Overview

There's something surreal about Spiti in winter — the silence, the snow-draped mountains, the villages tucked away like secrets waiting to be discovered. This 7 Nights 8 Days circuit takes you from Shimla back to Shimla, through the breathtaking Kinnaur Valley, into a Spiti few ever get to see. With an extra day in hand, you get more time to breathe in the stillness — linger a little longer in Kalpa's orchards, take the slow road to Chitkul, and stand beside the frozen calm of Nako Lake without rushing to the next stop. In Kaza, life slows down — and so will you. Cross the dramatic Chicham Bridge, wander through Key Monastery's ancient halls, and spend unhurried time around Kibber and Langza, keeping an eye out for the elusive snow leopard on the surrounding cliffs. The added day also means more room for weather delays and acclimatization — an important buffer in the unpredictable winter terrain. Nights are spent in warm homestays with Spitian families, sharing stories over home-cooked meals under some of the clearest, most star-studded skies you'll ever witness. This isn't just a trip — it's a rare, unhurried journey into one of the last untouched corners of the Himalayas.
